Background

For over a decade I have run Neutral Territory which helps people take action to fight climate change.  Carbon Champions applies lessons learned from our research to sporting and other communities.

Sport has been a twice-a-weekend part of my life for forty years.  I’ve played, trained, captained, coached, refereed and chaired both rugby and cricket clubs.  I remain involved at Eight Ash Green CC and Colchester RFC, and remain passionate about the benefits team sport brings to people.

I prefer action to words.  My cover photo is from the Emily Pankhurst statue in Manchester.  I think the climate crisis needs similar attitudes and approaches.  Thanks for joining the fight.  Richard Parker
